Item UPC is not a valid. A UPC must be 11 to 14 digits.
This is a Lightspeed limitation for the UPC field that we have guarded against. Items with non-blank UPCs that are too long or too short will be rejected until the import file is updated to change or remove the unsupported values.
Understanding the Error
If you have received this message when trying to import new or updated items using Data Tools it means that at least one row of the file contains a non-blank UPC that is not 11 to 14 digits.
Resolving the Error
If you clear the unsupported UPC from your import file and import the file with Do Not Update Blank Fields still enabled the UPC issue will be resolved.
Note: If Do Not Update Blank Fields is disabled the import will blank out fields in Lightspeed that are blank in your import file.
Important: Outright removing cells, columns, or column headers will lead to import errors and importing a file that is missing columns, column headers, or cells may corrupt your Lightspeed Retail data.
Manual Resolution for Matching
If the UPC value is needed to match item updates to Lightspeed items the UPC will need to be manually updated to a supported value in Lightspeed. The same update will need to be made in the spreadsheet so the UPCs will be matched during import.
