Quick Summary

The "No Product Found" product is added to uploaded orders when a matching product is not found in the POS.

Overview

The placeholder "No Product Found" product is included as a line item when an unlinked product is included on a Shopify order. Using the placeholder allows the uploaded transaction to complete and be financially balanced.

SKU is missing in the point of sale

How to Fix

Note: You only need to choose one of the options to address the impact on the product's inventory.

The fastest option is usually to adjust inventory since most POS platforms do not allow edits to a completed transaction. Alternatively, you can complete an exchange if you need the transaction history.

Option 1 - Adjust Inventory

Using either an adjustment or an inventory count, edit the product's inventory in your point of sale by the quantity sold.

Option 2 - Revise Transaction

  1. Exchange
If you can't edit the product on the invoice or sale, perform an exchange for the correct product.

  2. Updating Orders
If your POS supports orders, you can usually replace the "No Product Found" line with the correct product before you invoice the order. This is a common workflow for preorders.
