Shopify Orders
Closed Orders
Orders from Shopify will create an order in Heartland Retail. Line items are automatically distributed, assigned to locations, and can be automatically invoiced. Invoicing ensures that inventory levels are committed so your fulfillment team can focus on managing fulfillment, not the complex process of distributing and invoicing.
Finding Shopify Orders in Heartland
Search for the Shopify Order Number(i.e., S-1004) on the Heartland Retail sales orders screen.
Open Orders
Shopify orders for products that do not have physical inventory (i.e., a preorder) or don't have enough inventory on hand are created as an open order in Heartland. Open orders can be manually distributed, fulfilled, and invoiced by your team when the inventory becomes available. Open orders should appear in the Heartland dashboard.
Pending Orders
In rare cases, orders may upload as pending. Pending orders mean that Mortar was not able to complete the order automatically. A missing product, an incorrect discount calculation, or a required field will cause pending orders. Pending orders can be manually distributed, fulfilled, and invoiced by your team.
