Overview
Several special-use placeholder products may appear on transactions to bridge between a Shopify order and the way your POS creates transactions. The purpose of these products is to be informational and to ensure that financials are balanced to allow fully complete transactions to be made in your POS. Which placeholder you see depends on the POS you use and the type of transaction.

Standard placeholder products are created automatically by Mortar as needed. It is essential to neither archive nor rename the placeholder products.
