Fix a Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) Item's inventory

In Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) press SAVE on the item to force an inventory update from Lightspeed to Shopify

Overview

Each time items are modified in Lightspeed Retail (R-Series), they are automatically updated on Shopify. This includes when inventory is sold, received, transferred, or adjusted.

Note: Mortar will overwrite inventory adjustments made in Shopify.

How long does it take for inventory to update on Shopify?

Inventory updates to Shopify asap, usually in about 3 minutes. Updates can take longer if you are in the middle of a sale or syncing a large number of products.

Inventory update speed is faster on more advanced Mortar plans. This ensures that higher SKU counts and higher volume can be managed successfully. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you are interested in upgrading your plan.

Fixing discrepancies

If you find an inventory discrepancy between Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) and Shopify, follow the step below.

Press Save on the matrix or item to update

If the discrepancy does not resolve within a few minutes, contact Mortar support via chat or [email protected] for assistance.
